Daily Meals

Children’s malnutrition is still one of the fundamental problems in The Gambia (UNICEF, 2015). Especially a lack of protein causes great problems during children’s physical and cognitive development. That’s why every child attending Salikenni nursery school receives a protein rich meal both in the morning and for lunch. The food is either produced on our educational farm MFC Fandeema or bought on local markets and freshly prepared by the school’s cooks.
